The Arizona State University men’s hockey team beat the University of Massachusetts 4-1 on the road Saturday, Dec. 17, to earn its first three-win streak.
The Sun Devils were lead by a strong goalie, senior Robert Levin, who had 23 saves on 24 shots. Head coach Greg Powers said the rest of the team fed off Levin’s strong performance in route to a strong weekend.
That strong weekend meant a sweep of UMass for the Devils and their first three-game win streak, and longest streak, in the two-year program history.
The team breaks for Christmas and will start play back up again on Dec. 30 in the 2nd Annual Desert Hockey Classic in Prescott Valley, Ariz. The Devils face Brown University with a 7 p.m. puck drop.
